Background: Namji dolls were traditionally used as fertility dolls by young women in Cameroon. Young girls would carry these dolls around from a young age and were responsible for naming them, feeding them, and taking care of them, giving them a glimpse of what motherhood would be like. Namji dolls represent good luck and are considered the finest dolls in Africa.
