Background: Unique indigenous tea plants that have been identified by Setšong Tea Crafters and are traditionally known as Tepane Tea and Diya Tea amongst others. These teas have proved to stand a chance at competing with existing global tea varieties because they offer unique and enjoyable taste profiles and superior health benefits. The tea varieties identified have been consumed for over five generations by the elderly members of the Bapedi tribe in Sekhukhune which results in a great deal of history and heritage being associated with this tea range. Setšong is made up of artisanal, herbal tea products that are crafted from wild harvested, indigenous flora found in the natural landscapes of Africa.
Tepane is a wild harvest, caffeine free, Herbal Black Tea which boosts the immune system, increases natural energy levels, rejuvenates skin cells, balances hormones and is rich in Vitamin A, C, E, Zinc & other Antioxidants.
Diya is a wild harvest, caffeine free, Red Root Tea which eliminates toxins, calms the nerves, relaxes muscle tension, balances blood pressure and is rich in Vitamin A as Beta-Carotene, Fibre, Calcium & Zinc.
